you want to be a Supporting Artist with CO/LAB?

Awesome! If you are returning to CO/LAB this semester, we are thrilled to have you back. If you are new to CO/LAB this semester, welcome! SA Registration closes on January 10.

There are two types of Supporting Artists (SAs) at CO/LAB – Consistent and Rotating:

  • Consistent SAs participate in consistent weekly class.

  • Rotating SAs participate in a more flexible capacity, with a requirement to participate at least three times throughout the semester.

For additional information about being a Supporting Artist at CO/LAB, please see our FAQ here.

All SAs must be 18+, must pass a NY State Background check, and must complete a suite of volunteer paperwork. If you are interested in being a part of CO/LAB but aren’t yet 18, please inquire about other volunteer opportunities.

If you are New to CO/LAB, you are invited to register as a Rotating SA, so that you have an opportunity to get to know us before committing to a consistent weekly class. Rotating Supporting Artists are required to volunteer at least three times over the course of a semester.

New Supporting Artists are required to attend a MANDATORY Orientation. Orientations will be held at ART/NY Manhattan (520 8th Ave., 3rd Fl.). Please specify your preference of Orientation date in your registration form.

  • Orientation #1: January 13 from 1:30-5pm

  • Orientation #2: January 21 from 6:30-9pm

Returning SAs are invited to register as a Rotating or Consistent SA. Please take a look at the schedule below and determine which role is the best fit for you and indicate your preference on your registration form. We will ultimately place you in a class based on your schedule/preferences and also our availability/evaluation of the best SA makeup for each class.
